BarrEric Eric Barr got a new aortic valve and aorta. He made the best of it by creating the book Journey to Heartland, a visual diary, with his artist wife Karen Genet. The book is available at Blurb.com. He has also continued to write and produce his weekly podcasts, Notes on Acting, and they can be found at www.actingis.com and at itunes. A Thousand Cuts, a movie that he co-wrote with director Charles Evered and Marty James will be released on DVD in January 2013 and it has been picked up for international distribution. He is a professor at the University of California, Riverside where he teaches acting and directing. He has directed over a hundred productions including classics, musicals, contemporary theatre, and new plays. For five years he was the Artistic Director of the Porthouse Theatre, a professional summer stock company in Cleveland, Ohio and he taught acting and movement at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting in Los Angeles.
