Emily Kohler earned her BA from Ohio University and then moved to Maine. While living in Bangor, she raced in three whitewater kayak races, saw one black bear and one moose, met Stephen King once, and earned her MA from the University of Maine. Emily is currently living in her native state of West Virginia and is in her final year of the MFA program at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
