Goodman Richard Goodman’s new book, A New York Memoir, was published in 2010.  He is also the author of French Dirt: The Story of a Garden in the South of France and The Soul of Creative Writing. He has written for The New York Times, Creative Nonfiction, Harvard Review, Commonweal, Vanity Fair, The Writer's Chronicle, Saveur, Ascent, French Review, and the Michigan Quarterly Review.  His essay, “In Search of the Exact Word,” appears in the Oxford American Writer's Thesaurus.  His book, The Bicycle Diaries: One New Yorker’s Journey Through September 11th, will be published in a fine press, limited edition, with original wood engravings by Gaylord Schanilec, in the summer of 2011.  He teaches Creative Nonfiction at Spalding University’s Brief Residency MFA in Writing Program in Louisville, Kentucky.  His website is www.richardgoodman.org.
