Cathryn Hankla is the author of eleven works of poetry and fiction, including the poetic sequence, Last Exposures (LSU, 2004)
and the short story collection, Fortune Teller Miracle Fish (MSU, 2011). She directs the Jackson Center for Creative Writing at Hollins University and serves as Poetry Editor of The Hollins Critic. These poems were written during a month-long residency in Malta in 2009 and are part of a manuscript entitled Wonder Room.
